Biostatistics, Epidemiology, and Research Design (BERD)

Biostatistics, Epidemiology, and Research Design (BERD) provides a wide range of design, statistical, analytical, and database management/REDCap support services to assist Columbia University Irving Medical Center (CUIMC) faculty members in garnering grant support and publishing study results. In addition, BERD offers a range of educational activities including monthly lectures and mini-courses. These services are provided in conjunction with the Department of Biostatistics at the Mailman School of Public Health and Training and Education (TRANSFORM).

BERD is staffed with a very experienced team of experts including various faculty members in the Department of Biostatistics of the Mailman School of Public Health, and master's level biostatisticians. We have provided more than 2,000 consults since our inception.
