Irving Institute Announces 2019 Health Practice Research Pilot Awardees

The Irving Institute for Clinical and Translational Research, home to Columbia University’s Clinical and Translational Science Award (CTSA) Program hub, announces the winners of the 2019 Health Practice Research pilot awards.

The Health Practice Research Pilot Awards are awarded through a partnership between the Irving Institute and the Department of Biomedical Informatics (DBMI).  These awards offer clinical researchers the opportunity to do an informatics-based project in an operational clinical setting. The pilot awardees are:

  • Lauren Houghton, PhD, MSc, Epidemiology: Breast EMICS (Early Moments Informing Cancer Screenings) 
  • Ana Tergas, MD, Obstetrics and Gynecology - Gynecological Oncology: Comparative Effectiveness of Opioid and Non-Opioid Therapy After
