Register: Statistical Software & R Mini-Course

The self-guided online mini-course is intended to help learners get started with R and R Studio in three-parts. The mini-course is hosted on Canvas, a course management system that helps faciliate online education, where learners are able to progress through modules at their own pace.

Topics include data manipulation and visualization, descriptive statistics, and basic analyses.

• Part 1 will cover importing data, examining data attributes, and manipulating data (creating new variables, stacking vs. merging data sets, etc.).
• Part 2 will cover data visualization using versatile R plotting functions.
• Part 3 will cover descriptive statistics and basic statistical analyses (chi-squared tests, t-tests, regression, etc.). Some basic statistical knowledge is required to get the most out of Part 3.
