"Leveraging the Expertise of the CTSA Program to Increase the Impact and Efficiency of Clinical Trials" - JAMA
Sharing the recent publication from our Trial Innovation Network team in the Journal of American Medical Association (JAMA) Network “Leveraging the Expertise of the CTSA Program to Increase the Impact and Efficiency of Clinical Trials”. The goal of the Trial Innovation Network, or TIN, is to not only execute trials better, faster, and more cost-efficiently but, “importantly, to be a national laboratory to study, understand and innovate the process of conducting clinical trials”.
Dr. Mitchell Elkind, the former faculty lead for TIN prior to departing for an American Heart Association leadership role, was instrumental along with Network Capacity Program Manager, Linda Busacca, in the JAMA manuscript preparation and review.
“As I have been with the TIN since its inception,” Linda writes, “I was able to critically evaluate how the ‘story’ of the evolution of the TIN was being presented and was able to add language and suggest changes” that reflect TIN’s purpose and national implementation strategies. “The entire process was the definition of collaborative and very rewarding,” Linda added, in a testament to the overarching goal of the CTSA network to drive forward dissemination of clinical and translational tools, methods and evaluations.
