Overview
The Irving Institute is committed to supporting the clinical and translational research workforce in all aspects of their career, including resources such as meeting spaces and classrooms. We offer three different facilities, made possible by a generous donation from its long‐time benefactors, Herbert and Florence Irving.
The Administrative Core and these rooms are all located in the Presbyterian Hospital (PH) Building, located at 622 West 168th Street (between Fort Washington and Broadway), on the 10th floor.
Conference Room PH-10-204
- Executive-style accommodation
- Seating Capacity for 44 people:
- 14 seats at the center table
- 30 seats around the room
- A/V equipment: Computer in podium with touch screen, VGA and HDMI hook-up, in-ceiling microphone and speakers, dual cameras in front and rear of room, 85” HD Television. Instructions on how to use our system will be provided upon booking.
- AV Support may also be requested.
- Kitchenette: This room has a small kitchenette equipped with a hand-washing sink, counterspace, and microwave.
Meeting Room PH10‐402C
- Seating capacity for 10 people
- A/V equipment: Computer that projects to television and desktop Owl camera. Instructions on how to use our system will be provided upon booking. A/V support may also be requested.
Classroom PH10‐405AB
- Seating capacity for 66 people
- A/V equipment: Computer at podium with touch screen, VGA and HDMI connections, in-ceiling microphone and speakers, dual cameras in front and rear of room, and two projection screens. Instructions on how to use our system will be provided upon booking. A/V support may also be requested.
Note on Food: When necessary, an additional cleanup fee will be charged if the room is not properly maintained.
Hours
Available 9:00 am - 5:00 pm weekdays. For meetings outside these hours, please consult with the administrative staff.
Eligibility
This service is provided to the Columbia community, partners, and external users: New York-Presbyterian, community members, industry, and others.
Cost
- Rate: $325/hour (includes all A/V equipment and support)
- Cancellation Fee: $150 (if canceled less than (3) days before the scheduled meeting)
- Clean‐Up Fee: $250 (if the room is not left in its original condition or chairs are not put back)
Please note:
- Rooms may be available at no cost for CU research groups/education.
- We are unable to charge any grant accounts.
- Include set-up and breakdown time in your request. (For example, if your meeting starts at 11:00 am, but you need 30 minutes to set up, select a start time of 10:30 am.)
